Chair Yoga for Seniors
Chair Yoga focuses on looking after joint mobility, improving balance, strength and confidence in movement. The class finishes with a guided practice to improve breathing patterns and lung capacity, breath work also helps with pain management. Yoga has been shown to alleviate the symptoms of many conditions such as high blood pressure, arthritis, fibromyalgia and poor sleep by combining physical postures with relaxation and breathing techniques to improve overall health.
Mondays 10am to 11am - $12, green prescription $10

We welcome over 60s from all walks of life – whether you used to be a sporting superstar or you’re just looking to improve your strength and flexibility in your golden years. Our trained staff will then develop a tailored programme specific to what you hope to achieve.
Gold Fit exercise classes for seniors involve a group warm-up and cool-down, with your own exercise programme taking up most of the time. There are also a variety of organised activities and classes available – from Zumba to bowling, canoeing to Nordic walking.

Balance, Mobility and Strength class
Classes run for usually for 10- 12 weeks with the initial assessment/pre-testing in the first week and a follow up test done at the end of the term to track progress.
Individuals are split into two groups, falls risk category (target population low to moderate risk of falls) and the other group is classified into those who can or cannot come up from the floor.

Our membership is drawn from tennis clubs throughout the Tennis Auckland Association. Most of our tournaments and activities are scheduled during the winter months to avoid overlapping with the normal summer tennis season

Scottish Country Dancing is a fun, lively and social form of dance that originated in Scotland. It involves groups of dancers performing a series of steps and formations to the rhythm of traditional Scottish music. This traditional art form has a rich history and is enjoyed by people of all ages as a way to celebrate Scottish culture and engage in community festivities.
